What age groups is Korfball4Schools suitable for? Answer: Korfball works well from upper Key Stage 1 through to Key Stage 4. We usually start with Years 3–6 in primary and then build into KS3 and KS4. Sessions are always adapted to the age, ability and experience of your pupils.
How does korfball support Ofsted and PE curriculum goals? Answer: Korfball supports physical, social and thinking skills. Lessons cover invasion games, teamwork, communication, decision-making and fair play. Our units are mapped to national curriculum outcomes and help you evidence intent, implementation and impact for Ofsted.
Do boys and girls really play together on the same team? Answer: Yes. Mixed-gender teams are a core part of korfball. Every team includes boys and girls on court at the same time, with equal roles. This helps you promote inclusion, respect and gender equality in PE in a very practical way.
What equipment do we need to get started? Answer: You need korfball posts, bases and balls plus a safe playing space such as a sports hall or playground. We can advise on the best set-up for your school and help you source equipment so you are ready to teach quickly.
Do our staff need prior korfball experience? Answer: No. Most schools we work with are completely new to korfball. Our CPD, videos and lesson plans are designed for non-specialist teachers as well as PE leads. Staff learn the game step by step alongside the pupils.
What is included in the online teacher portal membership? Answer: Membership gives your staff access to full schemes of work, lesson plans, skill progressions, assessment ideas, printable resources and video demonstrations. You can log in anytime to plan lessons, clubs and festivals with everything in one place.
Can you support multiple schools in our academy trust? Answer: Yes. We work with academy trusts and groups of schools. We can help you roll out a consistent korfball programme across sites, provide shared CPD and give each school access to the portal under a trust-wide plan.
How much does it cost and how do we pay? Answer: We offer termly and annual membership options, plus add-on coaching and CPD packages. Schools usually pay by invoice. For current prices and trust-wide options, please see our Membership page or contact us for a tailored quote.
